Palliative Care Available at Home Now

The Shaukat Khanum Home Palliative Care Service is now available for patients in Lahore and Peshawar to help expand access to palliative care and improve the quality of life of our patients, in their homes. In October this year, the first home palliative care visit was carried out in Peshawar for a bed-ridden patient who is terminally ill with cancer. The service includes home visits by a team of specialist doctors and nurses, ensuring that our patients receive the care they need, where they need it. SKMCH&RC already offers outpatient palliative care consultation and inpatient care for all its patients.
